Command the most fearsome pirates in an exciting Caribbean adventure! Plague of the Dead is a new installment of The Pirate series, featuring an open world without loading screens, dynamic day and night cycle and weather system, it offers each gamer an unforgettable experience.
With huge success of The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt developers received tons of feedbacks with similar request: add a storyline to the game.
And they added not only storyline — it’s a complete game that takes all advantages from previous part and develops them further.
Once again we dived into the Age of Piracy, but now with voodoo stuff. And translation of this game was interesting, as with first part.
This project also shows how Translation Memories (TM) are important. Almost 80% of UI was the same as in Caribbean Hunt, and we simply grabbed that translation and put into 100% matched lines. It helped us to avoid unnecessary work on translating from scratch things we translated before and confident in its quality.
Full localizations (text +voice) are rare in indie development, but we are glad Home Net Games know that their games are deeper with it. Especially in Pirates, when you hear the commands from fierce boatswain and warning shouts from sailors.
Just check these examples:
We won’t tire to amuse how HNG develop their skills from project to project. And we develop ourselves with them.
